BAKU

I started new personal project!!

This is illustration for a short story written by Aman Kimiko, a Japanese writer. Her stories are so beautiful and somehow I feel sad after reading... I chose the story of "Baku", Japanese imaginary creature who eats people's dream. Because he is an imaginary creature, it was hard to get a clear image of him in my mind. In the story, it says he looks like a small pig, but other than it there is no definition of Baku. What I drew looks more like anteater, but I quite like his facial expression. I will experiment a lot to do more images for this lovely but sad story...
